The things listed together (in green writing) all have something in common. Figure that out early, and you'll have a clue as to how to use the cards.
The colored dots help group the cards into sets of three.
Each card represents a word, but indirectly. The green writing is a hint for the whole puzzle, but it has nothing to do with the word for that card.
There are four numbers in the solution. You'll have to do some adding to figure them out.
The M+M and D+D isn't part of the word that its card represents. It refers to how to arrive at the solution numbers, but that's the last thing you do.
The pictures don't always sound or seem exactly like the word they represent. The animal shown is a wildebeest, but they also go by another name.
The puzzle with blue dots is a Mexican holiday.
The other puzzle is celebrated world-wide.
M+M means add months, and D+D means add days. So, once you have the two holidays represented by the cards, add their dates (M+M, then D+D) to get the solution. The set with blue dots is Sink-o Day Mayo, or Cinco de Mayo, fifth of May. The set with pink dots shows a gnu, some ears, and Eve.
